The Cairo Messenger, Friday, June 6, 1966, Funeral Services Held for Labron B. Davis
Funeral services for Mr. Labron B. Davis, Sr., who died Friday June 3, at the Archbold Hospital in Thomasville, were held at Clark Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday June 5, with the Reverends A. J. Cooke and Howard J. Kelley officiating. Interment in the Macedonia Cemetery.
Mr. Davis, who died after a lengthy illness, was a native of Decatur County. He was the son of the late Ben and Delia Palmer Davis. He was married to the former Miss Sally Bowles of Grady County. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sally Davis, six sons, Edward, Davis, Milford Davis, Clower Davis, R. C. Davis, L. B. Davis, Jr., Harold Davis, all of Pelham; two daughters, Mrs. A. D. Finch of Oklawaha, Florida, Mrs. O. L. Brinson of Bradenton, Florida; two brothers, Babe Davis of Cairo, Aaron Davis of Thomasville; thirty grandchildren; and a large number of great grandchildren.
Her grandson acted as pallbearers. Clark Funeral Home in Cairo was in charge of funeral arrangements.
