She was born on April 4, 1955 to Harold and Janet (Howey) Eckelberry. Her parents both survive in Tiffin. She married Tony Adkins and he survives.
Other survivors include 2 sons, Stephen Adkins of West Covina, CA and Brian Adkins of Prior Lake, MN; 2 grandchildren, Jordan and Jacob Adkins; 2 brothers, James (Pat) Eckelberry of Tiffin, and Bill (Jean) Eckelberry of Republic.
Mrs. Adkins was a 1973 Columbian High School graduate and a member of First Lutheran Church. She had been a travel agent for 25 years, enjoying travelling and helping people make their travel arrangements.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 31, 2002, at First Lutheran Church. Interment was in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Visitation was 5-8 p.m., Monday, December 30, 2002, at Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home.
