Scott E. McClain, 49, 12591 Sharp Road, passed away May 22, 2011, at 11:48 p.m. at Kettering Medical Center, Kettering.
He was born March 8, 1962, in Dayton, the son of William A. and Beverly Ann Thompson McClain.
Scott is survived by his father, William A. McClain, and his stepmother, Janice McClain; son, Nathan (Melissa) McClain, of Sidney; grandchildren, Brandt and Ella McClain; brothers, Bill (Darlene) McClain III, of Sidney, Jim (Julie) McClain, of Sidney, Dave (Mary Jo) McClain, of Sidney; and sister, Terri (Thomas) Klosterman, of Sidney.
Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Ann McClain.
He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. Scott was a member of the Indian Lake Moose Club and Eagles Lodge of Sidney. He was previously employed at Area Energy and Electric Inc. of Sidney. He was a 1980 graduate of Lehman Catholic High School.
Scott loved to play corn hole and golf and was an avid NASCAR and Chicago Bear's fan. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, with the Rev. Jason Bedel officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
