SCHWEGER Jr., RODNEY R. April 17, 1923 to May 17, 2011 Rodney R. Schweger Jr., 88 years, Passed away peacefully on May 17, 2011. Rod was born in Chicago, Illinois, graduated from New Trier High School in 1940 and excelled in baseball and track and field events. After two years at the University of Illinois, he joined the Army Air Force and become a P47 Fighter Pilot. He was presented Air Medal and Presidential Citation. He leaves a brother, Donald E. Schweger, Reno, Nevada; a sister, Shirley L. Lake, Encinitas, CA; a nephew and wife Donald and Tiffany Lake, Coronado, CA; a niece and family Lisa L. Puls, Russ and Daughter Kristin of Evergreen, CO. A celebration of Rod's life will take place at a later date.
