MAYFLOWER, Ark. ­ Rebecca "Becky" LaMay Hogland DiVerdi, 23, of Mayflower died Sunday in a Little Rock hospital. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Northside Church of Christ in Greenwood, Ark. Burial will be in Oak Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark. Mrs. DiVerdi was a student at Hendrix College majoring in Elementary Education, specializing in teaching the deaf. She was on the dean's list. She was a member of Northside Church of Christ in Conway, Ark. Surviving are her husband, John DiVerdi, Jr. of Mayflower, Ark.; daughter Bella Nicole DiVerdi of Mayflower; parents, Thomas and Kitty Attison Hogland of Longview; sisters, Tonya Roberts of Huntington, Ark. and Tammy Hermosilla of Gheisen, Germany; grandparents, Dorothy Attison of Greenville and Mr. and Mrs. Ward Hogland of Booneville, Miss. and great-grandmother Lela Hughey of Rienzi, Miss. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Harold Attison. Pallbearers are Joey Self, Todd Hales, Ross Ward, Charlie Caster, Bill Dunn and Pat McAfee. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Putman Funeral Home in Fort Smith, Ark.
