Nancy Lynne Rodawalt, 22, Wichita Falls, died Tuesday, April 10, 1979 in the terrible F4 tornado there.

Services were held Saturday in the Gish Memorial Chapel in Frederick, Oklahoma. Rev. Elson Hargrove, pastor of the First United Methodist Church officiated. Interment was in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery.

Miss Rodawalt was born Sept. 10, 1956 in Enterprise, Alabama to Lee and Gloria
Faye (Oberlender) Rodawalt.

A graduate of Mineral Wells, Texas high school, she was a student nurse at Bethania Hospital in Wichita Falls and in May would have obtained her Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) certification.

A member of the Methodist Church, she is survived by her parents, Gloria Faye and Lee R. (Leroy) Rodawalt, Enterprise, Alabama; one brother, Keith Blaine Rodawalt, also of Enterprise; and two sisters, Valarie Jean Rodawalt, Denton, Texas and Carolyn Sue Cunningham, Enterprise, formerly of Springfield, Illinois.

Her grandmother, Zelma Lee (Hines) Oberlender, Frederick; grandfather, Claude Ray Rodawalt, Electra, Texas; and uncle, William (Bill) Oberlender of Wichita Falls survive as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Mrs. J. W. Ray, organist, accompanied Mrs. Tommy Carpenter, who sang "I'll Fly Away." One of Nancy's favorite songs by Simon & Garfunkel was also sung, "Bridge over Troubled Water". The congregation sang, "How Great Thou Art".

Casket bearers were [her cousin] Norman Rodawalt,[uncle] James Rodawalt, and [cousins] David, Chris, Billy, and Mike Oberlender.

Win Carver, family friend, who attended the service said in recent years, "I have never seen so many beautiful flowers in any funeral that I have attended over the years."
