Madeline AuCLAIRE, 80, of Petoskey, died Oct. 30, 1999, at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey.
Funeral service will be 4 p.m. today, Monday, Nov. 1, at Stone Funeral Home in Petoskey. The Rev. John Tupper will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Madeline was born April 6, 1919, in Alpena, the daughter of Hugh and Mable PALMER. Madeline grew up and attended school in Alpena, graduating from Alpena High School.
In 1939, she married Theodore F. AuCLAIRE in Alpena. He preceded her in death June 16, 1991.
Madeline had resided in Petoskey for many years. She was employed at Burns Clinic as a secretary for many years. She then went to work for the General Adjustment Bureau, where she worked until retirement.
Madeline was an active member of the Business Professional Women while working at General Adjustment Bureau.
She is survived by a son, Theodore F. AuCLAIRE II, of Detroit; daughter, Patricia HOFFMAN and her husband, Fred, of Petoskey; three grandsons, Hans YENTZ and his wife, Sue, of Holland, Karl YENTZ of Grand Rapids, and Dan HOFFMAN who is attending Western Michigan University; and lifelong family friend, Thomas E. HARRIS.
Madeline was preceded in death by her daughter, Marie YENTZ, and granddaughter, Emily Marie HOFFMAN.
