Hazel Tichenor Hopper, 90, died Tuesday, June 1, 1999 in Walnut Creek, California. She was born in Centertown and had lived in the Cuyahoga Falls area most of her life until moving to California four and a half years ago. She was a homemaker and a volunteer for the Red Cross Blood Bank. She was preceded in death by Fred Hopper, her husband of 55 years. She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Bailey of California; granddaughter, Erin Bailey of California; brother Forest Tichenor of Brighton, Michigan; sister Eloise Tichenor Stenberg of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; sisters-in-law, Mary, Tillie and Irene Tichenor and numerous nieces and nephews. Services were held on Sunday, June 6 at McGowan, Reid and Santos Funeral home with interment at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park.
