BELVEDERE, S.C. - Funeral Services for Mr. Zachary M.Zack Mullan, 30, of Oakdale Avenue, Belvedere, SC, who entered into rest May 11, 2011, will be conducted Saturday morning at 11 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Rev. David Tester officiating. Interment in Pineview Memorial Park. Zack was a former resident of Trenton, having made Belvedere his home. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and a 2000 Graduate of North Augusta High School. Zack was the grandson of the late Elsie Mullan and the late Paul F. Merrill. Survivors include his parents, Jimmy and Tricia Mullan, Belvedere; his sister, Jessica Mullan, North Augusta; paternal grandfather, H. A. Moon Mullan, Belvedere; maternal grandmother, Vera B. Merrill; Belvedere; and his extended family who cared dearly for him. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6 until 8. A North Augusta man struck the morning of May 5 by an 18-wheel tractor trailer on U.S. Highway 25 near the intersection of Bettis Academy Road in Edgefield County, S.C., has died.

Edgefield County Deputy Coroner David Burnett said the man was 30-year-old Zachary Mullan of Oakdale Avenue in North Augusta. Burnett said Mullan died at 3:37 a.m. today of "severe head injury and body trauma" sustained in the incident, which halted both lanes of traffic for more than an hour.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported the crash at 6:34 a.m. on its Web site, but no additional information has been provided.
