Mrs. M.C. Gideon.
Mrs. Malinda C. Gideon, an old resident of this community, died last Friday morning at the home of her youngest daughter, Mrs. Earl Grist, at Wichita. She had been in poor health for quite a long time.

Mrs. Gideon was seventy-four years of age and had been in Kansa since 1873. For many years the family lived on the farm north west of Belle Plaine. After the death of Mr. Gideon a number of years ago, she made her home with her children. One son, Peter Gideon, died in Oklahoma about a year ago. The other children are: Mrs. Martha Bender, Mrs. Anna Nugen and Dr. J.E. Gideon, all of Belle Plaine; Mrs. Mabel Masters, of Ellis, Kansas; Mrs. Katie Heckathrorn, of Simia, Colorado, Mrs. Etta Grist, of Wichita. Miss Minnie Gideon and Oliver P. Gideon, of Los Angeles.

Funeral services were held from the Church of Christ in this city Saturday afternoon conducted by Elder J.D. Boyer. Burial was made in the local cemetery.
