Randy Steven Lee Lakey, 55, of Cheyenne passed away June 20 in Cheyenne.
He was born Nov. 1, 1953, in Los Angeles.
Randy served in the U.S. Navy for two tours. He served in the 1st and the 3rd Marine divisions in the Vietnam War.
He was a master RV tech for Cheyenne RV for many years and a member of the VFW. He was an avid fly fisherman and at one time worked in a 62-stall horse breeding and boarding barn. He had a love for all animals.
Mr. Lakey is survived by his wife, Diantha Lakey of Cheyenne, whom he married Aug. 2, 1986; parents, Andy and Carol Lakey of Independence, Mo.; three sons, Christopher Lakey of Buckner, Mo., Russell Young of Buffalo, and Brandon Lewis of North Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, Garry E. Lakey of Cheyenne; two sisters, Cindy Bowen of Omaha, Neb., and Linda Fink of Cheyenne; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel with cremation to follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
A celebration of his life with military honors will be 10 a.m. Friday at the American Legion Post 6. Military honors to be provided by the American Legion Honor Guard.
