Elizabeth and Roy had two children: Wendell Leroy Abbott (1919-1955) and Garth Abbott (1922-1993).
Roy died December 30, 1977 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and was buried in the Rose Hill Burial Park. Elizabeth died December 2, 1988 in Florida and was buried in Oklahoma City in the Rose Hill Burial Park beside her husband.

Mary Elizabeth Abbott, 91, former Oklahoma City resident, died Friday. Moved to Florida in 1984. She was the widow of E. Roy Abbott, well-known Oklahoma artist. She was a member of the Mayfair Heights United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son, Garth, Mt. Dora, Florida; 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday at the funeral home. Services 2pm Tuesday, Guardian West Chapel, interment Rose Hill Cemetery.
