Reidsville--Algernon Sidney Neal, 70, of 2210 S. Scales St. died Monday at his home.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday North Scales Street Church of Christ, of which he was an Elder.Burial will be in Thompsonville Baptist Church cemetery.
Neal was a native of Caswell County, a graduate of Applachian State University, a U.S. Army Captain during World War II, and a retired 30 year employee of Transcontinental Gas Pipeline Corp.
Survivors are wife, Margaret Burton Neal; sons, Al S. Neal, Jr. of Stoneville and Ben L. Neal of Reidsville; mother, Mrs. Amy Garrett Neal of Reidsville; sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth N. Johnson of Reidsville, Mrs. James N. Essic of Mocksville; brothers, T. Garrett Neal of Eden, Ben J. Neal of Oxford, Robert L. Neal and David K. Neal of Reidsville; two grandchildren.
The family will be at Citty Funeral Home 7-9 today, other times at the residence.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County or to the Nother Carolina Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
