Kennedy to Dallas at Love Field airport late morning on November 22, 1963, where she presented a bouquet of red roses to Jacqueline Kennedy. The Cabells were in the subsequent Presidential motorcade through Dallas heading for the Trade Mart where JFK was scheduled to deliver an address. A famous Dallas Morning News photograph taken in the parking lot of Parkland Hospital shows Mrs. Cabell seating alone in a convertible after the motorcade diverted to Parkland Hospital following the shooting and before the formal announcement of the assassination.
