Graveside service for Duane Dale Davison, 82 of Lawton will be at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2011 at El Reno Cemetery, El Reno, Oklahoma.
Mr. Davison passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 in Lawton.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.
There will be a special viewing and visitation for family and friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the funeral home.

Duane was born on October 14, 1928 in Syracuse, New York to Dexter and Elsie (Smith) Davison. The family moved to Oklahoma City and later El Reno where he grew up and graduated from high school. He was drafted into the United States Navy on August 7, 1946 and served until October 11, 1949. He married Patti Rae Collins on March 30, 1950 in El Reno, Oklahoma. While attending Okmulgee College, he was drafted a second time on October 3, 1950 and served in Korea. After his honorable discharge from the military on November 7, 1953, he served as a Flight Line Supervisor for North American Aviation in Fresno, California from 1952 until 1958. He later was a Drafting Specialist for the Lockheed Missile and Space Company in Sunnyvale, California beginning in 1958 and in 1963 he was promoted to Senior Design Engineer working on projects related to the Apollo Space Mission. After his retirement in 1985, he and his family moved to Hartshorne, Oklahoma where he owned and operated DDD Mechanical. Patti passed away on September 3, 1991. He later married Carolyn Snow on May 14, 1993 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. He was a member of the American Legion and the Lawton VFW. He was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by three sons and two daughters in law, Daniel Dale and Georgia Davison, of San Jose, California; David and Nancy Davison, of Lawton, Oklahoma and Kenneth Davison, of Wasilla, Alaska; his sister and brother in law, Norma and Leige Hickman, of Atlanta, Georgia; his brother and sister in law, Jim and Nancy Davison, of El Reno, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Daniel Davison, Amanda Sackman, Dustin Davison, Jason Davison, Tiffany Matthews, John Davison, Dakota Davison, and Michael Davison; five great grandchildren, Taylour Green, England Davison, Charlie Davison, Emily Davison, and Dominick Sackman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dexter and Elsie Davison, his wife, Patti Rae Davison; his brother, Joe Davison.
