He was the son of the late Jim and Annie (Robinson) Bagwell. He proudly served his country with the U. S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He worked for Buick of General Motors, as a clerk and also in sanitation.

BAGWELL, James Lamar - of Davison, age 64, passed away May 1, 2011 at his residence. A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Daryl Blank officiating. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the East Flint Nazarene Softball Ministry. James was born in Ackerman, Mississippi on January 1, 1947, son of the late Jim and Annie (Robinson) Bagwell. He proudly served his country with the U. S. Army and was stationed in Germany. James married Lynda Joyce Kewin on June 21, 1969 in Flint. He was a member of East Flint Church of the Nazarene. James was a Clerk with General Motors, retiring with over 30 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports, Classic Cars and attending the races at Swartz Creek Raceway. James is survived by his wife, Lynda; daughter, Stephanie (Aaron) Rubio; grandchildren, Rylee and A.J. Rubio; mother-in-law, Mildren Kewin; brothers-in-law, Bernard Kewin, Harland Kewin and Dennis Kewin; sister-in-law, Pam Kewin; several nieces and nephews.
