James Southern
James Leon Southern, 41, 3325 E. Will Sowders Road, died Thursday and on arrival at Bloomington Hospital.
Born Feb. 6, 1938, in Monroe County, he was the son of Hurshell Albert and Elsie (Sexton) Southern.
He was a production planner at RCA Corp.
He was a member of Sanders Pentecostal Church where he was Sunday school superintendent, a deacon, and a member of the church choir.
Surviving are his wife, Judith (Chambers); two sons, Gregory Kent and Timothy Ray, both at home; two brothers, Rodney Dean and Gerald Gene Southern, both of Bloomington; two sisters, Mrs. Bill (Charlotte) Sowders, and Mrs. John (Marcella) Deckard, both of Bloomington; and his grandmother, Mrs. Lena Southern, Heltonville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Sanders Pentecostal Church. The Rev. Russell Nelson will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Ebal Cemetery. Friend may call at Allen Funeral Home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 2 to 9 p.m.
