Walter Devore Robinson was born on January 23, 1915 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. At an early age, he and his parents moved to Los Angeles, California where he attended school.

At the age of 23, he married Oralean Moss and to this union five children were born.

During his younger years, he continued his education by completing college to provide a better subsistence for his family; he was a dedicated and loyal employee for the Los Angeles Board of Education where he was employed as a carpenter. He was a person who loved to build, and will be remembered for his expertise and craftsmanship.

He was actively involved with Delta Lodge No. 21 Masonic until he became ill.

He is especially remembered as a loving father and husband. He was greatly loved and will be sadly missed by all of his loved ones.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Oralean Robinson; three daughters, Janice Robinson, Marshae Robinson Kinney and Sandra Robinson Mohammad-Ali; two sons, Julius Robinson and Davele Robinson; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
