Actor. The son-in-law of actor/singer Dean Martin. Martin is best remembeed for his role as 'John "J.D." LaRue' on the television series, "Hill Street Blues" from 1981 to 1987. Other roles include the films, "The Undefeated" (1969), "The Panic In Needle Park" (1971), "The Catcher" (1972), "Trick Baby" (1973), "Lolly-Madonna XXX" (1973), "The Log Of The Black Pearl" (1975), "Moonrunners" (1975), "Child Bride Of Short Creek" (1981), "Convicted: A Mother's Story" (1987), "If It's Tuesday, It Still Must Be Belgium" (1987), and "Perry Mason: The Case Of The Poisoned Pen" (1990). On television he made guest appearances on, "Murder She Wrote", "Miami Vice", "The Ray Bradbury Theater", "The Little Victim", "L.A. Law", "The Love Boat", "Paris", "Gunsmoke", "Delvecchio", "Kung Fu", "Joe Forrester", and "Harry O." Martin also played the role of 'Raney Cooper' on the soap opera, "The Edge Of Night" in 1977, and that of 'Charles Russell' on "Second Chance" from 1987 to 1988. Sometimes credited as Kiel Mueller, he married the daughter of legendary crooner and Rat Pack member Dean Martin in 1969, but after one child they were divorced in 1971. Sadly Claudia Martin passed away from breast cancer in 2001. In 1982, he married again, this time to Joanne La Pomaroa, but they were also later divorced. Martin was later diagnosed with lung cancer, and on December 28, 1990, he passed away at the age of 46, in Rancho Mirage, California.
