Samuel C. Viands, 58, Will Be Buried Tuesday -
Native Of East Point
Samuel Clint Viands, aged 58, well known East Point farmer, died yesterday morning at Rockingham Memorial Hospital, following a long illness.
A son of the late Charles and Lula Viands, he was born October 27, 1879, at East Point, and spent his entire life in that section. He was well known, and leaves a host of friends who mourn his passing.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Rosebelle Viands, he is survived by the following children: Floyd, Erba, and Otis Viands, of East Point; Delsie Viands, of Orange; and Mrs. Marie Smith, of East Point.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon from his late home. Services will be conducted by Rev. W. H. Smith. Burial will be in the Viands cemetery.
