Miss Duncan was a graduate of Marshall University in Huntington, WV, and for 42 years was a school teacher in Williamson, WV. She was a member of Williamson First Methodist Church. She had lived in Mooresville since 1986.
Survivors include her sister, Christeen D. Ireson of Mooresville; nieces, Ellen Little of Wingate and Dana Phillips of Mooresville; 2 great-nieces and 1 great-nephew. She was preceded in death by her brother James N. Duncan.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 2, 1999 at Glenwood Memorial Park, with Dr. Doris C. Weddington officiating. She was a member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church, Davidson. Mrs. Ireson was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel W. Ireson; brother, James Norman Duncan; and a sister, Lucille Fay Duncan.
