Thank you for the correct dates/
Ora Philander Burke was born about 1811 in Pennsylvania, and married Harriet Simons in Darke county, Ohio on March 18, 1841, they had the following children, Hiram O., Emily Alice, Amanda and Harriet. He is in the 1860 Pleasant township,Grant county Indiana census, age 40, Pennsylvania, Farmer,
I believe the dates are wrong, probably an error of the readings, I can not link him with his children due to the date of birth being incorrect. Has to be abt 1811, maybe 1815, as sometime 1 can be mistaken for a 4. Two of his children, (Amanda and Harriet) are buried there with him and his widow and two children moved to Kansas, a daughter-in-law is also buried in the same cemetery.. HIs will is listed in Grant county and I have included it in the photo of his memorial. Thanks for all you do, I too have worked on veterans and have placed over 100 government markers on veterans in unmarked graves in Indiana. Very rewarding task.
