PASTOR CLARENCE "DOC" E. CATES Pastor Clarence "Doc" E. Cates, age 83, of Conyers, died December 21, 2008. Pastor Cates is predeceased by his daughters Patricia and Silva. He is survived by his wife Bettye Cates, daughter Connie & David Herring, sons Michael & Lynn Cates, Sam & Vicki Cates, 7 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

Pastor Cates served as minister at Christian Fellowship Community Church, a graduate of Oglethorpe University and taught at Murphy High School.

Visitation for Pastor Cates will be held on Sunday December 28, 2008 at Antioch AME Church at 1790 Ebenezer Rd. Conyers, GA from 3-7 P.M.

Funeral service for Pastor Cates will be held on Monday December 29, 2008 at 7:00 P.M. at First Assembly of God Church, 338 Hwy 42, McDonough, GA., with Pastor Cyril Curtis, Pastor Tom Bates and Pastor Aimraj Maharaj officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. at the church. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday December 30, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
