Mary Louise (Thebo) Trant/Aldrete struggled with her health and finally succumbed to her battle with Emphysema, COPD, CHF and other ailments and went to be with the Lord at Sheridan Memorial Hospital in Sheridan, Wyo. on Dec. 10, 2010 with her family by her side.

Graveside services for family and friends were Dec. 18 in Custer, S.D. These were her wishes as she requested cremation also. In lieu of Cards and memorials, condolences may be sent in care of Monica (Pete) Johner or Mario (Marika) Aldrete 1725 Holmes Ave Sheridan, Wyo.82801 Memorial was December 18 2010 In Custer S.D. She was born in Custer, S.D. to Helen (Mitchell) and Louis Thebo on Dec. 7, 1933. She attended schools in the Custer and Hill City areas. She married Thomas Trant Sr. on Oct. 5, 1950 and to this union were born three sons and one daughter.


Later she remarried Jose Aldrete on July 1, 1973 and made her home in Prescott, Ariz. They were blessed with one son and one daughter. Later she moved to Custer, S.D. and then relocated to Sheridan, Wyo.

Mary loved her children and later on she truly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pastimes in earlier years were bowling, fishing and hunting until her health prevented her from enjoying these.

Mary always remembered her loves in life and family and friends wherever she lived. Her very loyal and spoiled dog, Mollie Bean, was with her to the end. She missed dearly her dogs Mokie, Midgie, Cloei and Loretta too.

Survivors include her daughters: Becky (Trant) McCarty/Null (Gary) of Scottsbluff, Monica (Aldrete) Johner (Pete) of Sheridan, Wyo.; sons: Mike Trant of Sheridan, Wyo.; Mario Aldrete (Marika) of Sheridan, Wyo. and Tom Trant of Yankton, S.D.; three stepdaughters: Teri, Veronica and Victoria; and two stepsons: Joseph and Phillip, all of Arizona.

Her greatest loves were her grandchildren: Adam Swenson, Crystal
Kraski, Chad McCarty, Tommy Trant, Jessica Trant, Leah Johner, Marisa Aldrete, Christopher Aldrete, Aaron Engleman, Aaron Mustain and Alyssa Johner. She also had 12 step-grandchildren in Arizona.

Blessings weren't finished there, as she had 34 great-grandchildren,
including step-grandchildren.

Her extended family included Paul and Maryann Schmitz of Custer, S.D. and Mark and Cathy Engleman and Penny Jacobsen and several others in various areas. They were always a part of her life.

Preceding her in death were her parents; both maternal and paternal grandparents; brother: Eugene Thebo; son: Steve Trant; one infant son and one infant daughter at childbirth; grandson: Petey Johner; and her husbands and numerous aunts and uncles and cousins and friends and loves in her life.
