Evelyn attended Concordia College in Moorhead MN for a couple of years until she had to quit to help put her sister, Edna, through nursing school.

She and Murdo McGregor married 22 Sep 1933 in Moorhead, Minnesota.

Evelyn belonged to the Amaranth's, Winodusi Social Group, Social Order of Beauce, Oregon White Shrine #1, Doves and Saints, all in Milwaukie, Oregon and the Royal Arch Widows Club in Oregon City. All of which are part of the Mason's. She was also an American Cancer Society Volunteer in Portland OR.

She was an active member of the Moreland Presbyterian Church in Portland, Oregon; Smith Memorialin Fairview, Oregon and had been an active member of the Trinity Luthern Church in Moorhead Minnesota.

After moving to Oregon, Evelyn became a merchandise inspector for Montogmery Wards.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Murdo John McGregor (memorial #68720193), her son, Murdo James McGregor (memorial #68138404), and her baby daughter Beverly Annette McGregor who lived less than two days.

Surviving her were her two daughters, Mary (McGregor) Cates and Margaret (McGregor) Robinson (memorial #1127648); and 7 grandchildren.
