J.L. Hicklen, 47, Dies From Attack
Jesse Lee Hicklen, 47, died of a heart attack at 5;30 p.m. yesterday at his home, 617 Taylor Street.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 3 p.m. at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. J.W.G. Harper officiating. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Sadie Hicklen; two sons, David K. Hicklen of Huntsville, and Corp. W.J. Hicklen of Silver Springs Md; two daughters, Mrs. A.L. Slaughter, Huntsville, and Mrs. Virginia Douglas of Moble; four brothers, Brown, Clifton, Kenneth and Salvin Hickle; parents, Mr and Mrs. Booker T. Hicklen of Huntsville.
Active pallbearers will be Lewis Austin, Oscar Emmerson, Shellie Dickens, Wes Worley, Roy Minor, Enis Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lawrence Goldsmith Sr., Dr. Grady L. Baker, Morton Hutchens and Judge Ashford Todd.
