Darleen Nicolette Zupo, 54, of Ammon passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2011.

Darleen was a Jet Mechanic in the US Air Force where she served for four years.

She is survived by two sisters, Linda Brunkhorst of Fayetteville and Cherrilee Johnson of Magnolia, TX.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 22, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 25, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake, NC with Rev. Tim Reeves officiating.

BLADEN COUNTY (WECT) - Four people died in Bladen County due to a tornado outbreak that swept through the state on April 16.

Officials in Cumberland County confirm one death there, bringing the total to five fatalities in southeastern North Carolina.

In the hours after the tragedy, we're learning more about the final moments of the victims.

Three fatalities were in Ammon. Marchester (Mark) Avery, 92, Tony Avery, 50, and Darleen Zupo, 54, all died. This happened off Highway 242 at Fayetteville Road. Tony Avery died at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
