Robert McGalliard
Age 64, of Acton, California, passed over on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at his home in the company of his beloved family after a long struggle with cancer. Bob was born April 2, 1947 in Los Angeles, to Robert and Beverly McGalliard. He was raised in Woodland Hills, California, and attended Taft High School where he was a member of the tennis team and football team. He was also a member of the school choir. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp Reserves. Bob was a skilled brick mason and joined the family business, J. B. McGalliard and Sons Masonry, established in North Hollywood in 1922. Through the years, Bob enjoyed many activities including horse back riding and roping along with tennis and, most recently, riding his Harley Davidson. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lynn McGalliard; his cherished children, Nicole Plank, Marianne Reed and Robert McGalliard Jr.; his granddaughter, Sky; his devoted father, Robert and spouse Dorothy McGalliard; and his loving sisters, Kristine Polhert and Kathie Lunbeck. He had 12 nieces and nephews along with wonderful in-laws. He was greeted in Heaven by his mother, Beverly McGalliard.
