OBITUARY
Mildred Violet Moore Smith, 90 formerly of Des Moines, Iowa, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2003, after a long illness.
Born in Leon, Iowa, she was a daughter of the late Henry Clay and Julia Frances Moore.

Mrs. Smith was a machinist with "Look" magazine and a homemaker. She lived in Greenville for twenty-five years and attended Covenant United Methodist Church.
As a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a great great-grandmother, she took care of her family. She always had to have her "chicks" in a row. Along with her family, she loved crafts and shopping.
Preceding Mrs. Smith in death were her husband, Boyd Franklin Smith; and four grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Twyla Jeanne Harp-Smith and Tom, of Greer, and Peggy Irene and Carroll Wicker, of Townville; sons and daughter-in-law, Glenn Beverly Reed, of Lamoni, Iowa, Donald Royce and Verna Reed, of Shannon City, Iowa, and Eldon Lee Reed, of Des Moines, Iowa; sister and brother-in-law, Esther Mae and Raymond Wicker, of Townville. Also surviving are thirty-five grandchildren, sixty-eight great-grandchildren, and twenty-one great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Des Moines, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 1097 Highway 101 South, Suite D-11 Greer, SC 29651.
