Patrick Christopher Dooley, 23, of Ponte Vedra Beach, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2010. He was born on September 23, 1986 in Jacksonville, Florida. Patrick graduated in 2005 from Nease High School where he was active in sports with his passion being football. After graduation, he attended Joliet College and Trinity International University in Illinois where he continued playing football before returning home to Ponte Vedra Beach. He was currently attending Florida State College in Jacksonville. Patrick is survived by his loving parents Christopher and Peggy Dooley; devoted sister Caitlin Dooley; grandmothers Jane Dooley-MacDonald (Mac), Waltraud Varnavelias, and Judith Cunningham (Rick); Aunts Connie Call (Jon), Kim White (Keith), Kelley Dooley-Moore (Mike), Kathy Dooley and Mary Dooley (Lynne); Uncle Peter Varnavelias (Stephanie); Cousins Jocelyn, Cassie and Mat; a loving extended family, and a host of dear friends. He is preceded in death by grandfathers Stanley Varnavelias and William Dooley. Patrick had a generous spirit and kind heart. He loved his family and friends and had a fine appreciation for the culinary arts. His contagious smile and wonderful sense of humor will live in the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure to know him. We will miss him dearly, remember him proudly, and love him forever.
