He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member of the Northeast United Pentecostal Church in FGayetteville. He is survived by his wife Annie Osterhout ,son Charleles D. Osterhout,daughter Leah Graham, brother Clarence William Osterhout 3 grand,4 great-grandchildren.
