Glenn Alston Sasser, 90, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Mount Olive Care and Rehabilitation.

He was born in Johnston County Aug. 30, 1920, to the late Sam and Carrie Sasser.

Glenn had been employed with Cobb Motor Co.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service at 2 p.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. Marty Gurganus officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Forest United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Glenn is survived by his daughters, Jeanne Sasser Crowle and husband, Alan, of Raleigh and Gail Sasser of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Whitney Crowle and James Crowle of Raleigh and Lesli Stevens of Goldsboro; his sisters-in-law, Mildred Sasser and Rebecca James Winesett; brother-in-law Ed Jernigan; and a close family friend, Ralph Williams.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Colleen James Sasser; his sisters, Retha Sasser, Letha S. Hare and Eudelle S. Jernigan; and his brothers, Hugh Sasser and Hubert Sasser.
