Evelyn Joyce LaVanway, 77, of Stevensville passed away at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph on Monday, Aug. 30, 2010.
Evelyn was born on Nov. 21, 1932, to the late Gustav and Rose (Roch) Polfus.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and one sister.
Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Lori (Ed) Caldeira of Seattle; two grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to honor Evelyn's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, at North Shore Memory Gardens.
Memorial donations may be made in Evelyn's memory to Grace Lutheran Church, located at 404 East Glenlord Road in St. Joseph.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Niles.
