Actress. The first Swedish-born actress to receive a Star on the Hollywood Blvd. Walk of Fame. She appeared in almost 200 films from 1911 to 1954, and she was often uncredited in later 'sound' films. She played in "The Thirteenth Commandment" (1920), "The Luck of the Irish" (1920), "Adam's Rib" (1923), "Blockade" (1928), "They Died With Their Boots On" (1941), "Adam's Rib" (1949 version), "Sunset Blvd." (1950) as herself, "Show Boat" (1951), "An American In Paris" (1951), and "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" (1954).
