Mrs. Fancie L. Davis, age 90, was born July 14, 1921 to James and Francis Brewington Sparks, in Putnam County.
She passed away on August 4, 2011, at Life Care Center in Sparta, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Odas Davis; sons, Jimmy Davis and Tony Davis; grandson, Toby James Whitworth; sisters, Vince Marshall, Ada Cole and Nancy Mc Cloud; brothers, John Sparks, Bill Sparks, Haskel Sparks, Burton Sparks, Tom Sparks and Eleck Sparks.
Mrs. Davis enjoyed her cooking, garden, flowers and loved all her family and friends. Enjoyed Saturday Night Wrestling and her Sunday Dinners. She is survived by her sons and daughters, John and Ruby Davis, Geneva and Tom Donelson, Janie Stroup, Wilma and Plummer Hensley, James Davis, Sarah Vance and Joene and James Whitworth; 22 grandchildren ; 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be Saturday, August 6, 2011, at Thurman Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Freddie Copeland and Bro. Harold Robinson. Interment will follow in the Highland Cemetery.
