Graveside services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Delta Funeral Home.
Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
He was born Nov. 10, 1952, in Hopkins County, the son of Morris and Louise Kern Smith. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and a machinist for Tyco Kendall. He had lived most of his life in Cooper.
He is survived by a daughter, Rebekah Smith of Rockdale and a sister, Shirley Woodard of Tira.
