THE DEATH OF WILLIAM GARDNER
Stockwell, June 19 - William Gardner, 69, of Lafayette route 5, near here, was stricken with a heat stroke at 10:30 a.m. today while working on his lawn and died at 2:45 p.m. Mr. Gardner was born in Tippecanoe county and in 1891 married Anna Kilgore. He had spent twelve years in Monticello coming here last spring. He was a member of the local Odd Fellows lodge. Surviving are the wife; a daughter, Mrs. Bertha Thomas, Kokomo ; and two sons, Burtis, Brookston, and Ralph, at home. Friends may call at the Thompson Funeral home, Brookston, until 1 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Monroe U. B. church , Monroe cemetery.
