John F. Matyczynski
John F. Matyczynski, 59, of 3 Clapp Street died Saturday in the Veterans Administration Hospital, West Roxbury, after a long illness.
He leaves his wife, Joan F. (Mazgelis) Matyczynski; two sons, Steven M. and David J. Matyczynski both of Worcester; two brothers, Ladislaus J. Matyczynski of Lansing, Michigan, and Theodore Matyczynski of Dracut; three sisters, Regina J. Misiuk, Florence M. Sheehan and Helen B. LaPointe, all of Worcester; nephews and nices. He was born in Worcester, son of Stanislaus and Sophia (Wenglarski) Matyczynski, and lived he most of his life.
Mr. Matyczynski was a printing adjuster at Worcester Envelope Company for about 10 years, retiring in 1972. He previously worked at the former U. S. Envelope Company.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, serving in Korea. He was awarded two Bronze Stars.
Mr. Matyczynski was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, the Auburn Sportman's Club and Worcester Chapter, Disabled American Veterans.
The funeral will be held tomorrow from Henry Funeral Home, 33 Ward Street, with a Mass at 9 a. m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. today.
