Mrs. Larson was a talented vocalist who loved music. She was also an avid doll collector with an extensive collection. Marlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Jayme, and her husband, Stanley Bubb of Macomb and Angela Larson, and her husband, Jeff DeJoode of Macomb; her grandsons, Christopher Joseph Pilger of Long Beach, Calif. and Joseph Haagensen (Amanda) Pilger; great-granddaughter, Amelia Pilger of Monmouth; her sister, Carla (Robert) Dixon of Bettendorf, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl J. and Anna Haagensen; her husband, James Joseph Larson; her sister, Cleo Hartman; and her nephew, David Dixon.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at the Nash-Nelson Memorial Chapel, 141 North Maple St. in Hinckley with Keith Sheed, officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Hinckley.
Friends may visit from noon until the hour of service on Saturday, April 2, at the Funeral Home in Hinckley.
