Mary Magalene Spakes, age 83, of Doyle, Tennessee passed Wednesday, July 31, 2013 in Doyle. Mrs. Spakes was born in Doyle on March 29, 1930, the daughter of the late Willie Jasper and Mamie Esther (Lyles) Raper.
She was a member of the Doyle Nazarene Church.
Services will be at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, on Saturday, August 3, with Tracy Curtis officiating. Burial will follow in the Doyle Cemetery.
Survivors include - son - Billy Spakes
3 daughters - Beverly (Ronnie) Rogers
Bethene Ward, Banetta (Randy) Wilford
grandchildren - Billy Ray, Crystal, Carrie, Amber, Autumn, Cain, Titus and Heather
sister - Katherine Cooley
2 brothers - Calvin Raper
Fred Raper (of Michigan)
Eleven great-grandchildren also survive.
Mrs Spakes is also survived by a very special friend, Linda Young.
In addition to her parents Mrs Spakes was preceded in death by her husband Bill Spakes and eight brothers and sisters.
