Almira Ross Weckerly was born March 15, 1868 in Smithland, Pa. Clarion County, the daughter of Samuel and Nancy Cullen Weckerly, she died September 19, 1935.

Almira married John Kemp 1870-1961 and they were the parents of 8 children:

Almira (Ally) was gentle and very quiet. She baked pies, cookies and bread, also churned butter and cooked on an old coal stove. Ally was short and heavy, stood about 5 ' tall and wore a size 5 shoe. Later she had a stroke and became crippled.
