GULFPORT --- Floyd W. Brooks, age 64 and a resident of Gulfport, MS, died Monday, April 30, 2001, in Gulfport.
Mr. Brooks was a native of North Carolina and was a longtime resident of the MS Gulf Coast. He retired as Master Sergeant after 20 years in the U.S. Air Force and was a civil service instructor for 10 years at Keesler AFB. He was a member of the MS Gulf Coast Radio Control Club, and was a Baptist.
Mr. Brooks was preceded in death by his father, Dewitt Brooks.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Joubert Brooks of Gulfport; his mother, Elizabeth Batchelor; a brother, Jerry D. Brooks and his wife Sybil; a nephew, Todd Brooks; and a niece, Cynthia Littrele, all of Asheville, NC.
Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 3, at Riemann Funeral Home, 25th Avenue in Gulfport. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel followed by burial in the National Cemetery in Biloxi, MS.
