Virginia Knudson
The funeral for Virginia Knudson, 61, Milford, Calif., formerly Fargo, will be here at noon Friday in St. Mary's Cathedral. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 today, with a prayer service at 7, and Friday morning at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home. She died Saturday.
Virginia Rieke was born Aug. 12, 1925, at Amenia, N.D., where she grew up and attended school. She married Earl Emerson July 26, 1943 in Fargo. She worked for the Fargo Country Club, the Elks Club and sold real estate. She most recently worked for the U.S. government. He died in 1973. She later moved to California. She married Philip Knudson in December 1978, at Galup, New Mexico.
She is survived by her husband; three sons and two daughters, Earl, Christine, N.D.; Richard, in Alaska; Bernie, Dickinson, N.D.; Virginia Emerson and Susan Moe, both Salt Lake City; a sister, Mrs. Norman (Sylvia) Granlund, Dilworth; and eight grandchildren.
