R. L. ALPHIN
Goldsboro, Nov 3, 1934 - R. L. Alphin, 50, native of Wayne County, died at his home near Wilmington, Del., at 4 o'clock Friday Morning. The body will be brought to Goldsboro, arriving here on the A. C. L. Railroad at 5 o'clock Sunday morning. Funeral services will be conducted from the Holiness Church at Belfast, three miles north of Goldsboro, at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, by the pastor, Rev. J. M. Howell. Interment will be in the Deans Cemetery.
Mr. Alphin lived most of his life in the Belfast section, and about 14 years ago moved to Delaware. He was an industrious and well-to-do farmer. He is survived by his widow and five children, of Wilmington, Del., and several brothers and sisters living in Wayne and Sampson Counties.
