Amos Eldon Kurtz
Amos Eldon Kurtz, 80, Overland Park, died March 26, 1990, at St. Joseph Health Center. He was born Sept. 19, 1909, St. Joseph, MO and lived in this area for 57 years. He was the son of Charles & Caroline Kramer Kurtz. Mr. Kurtz worked for the John Deere Co. for 45 years, retiring as a senior clerk in 1974.
He was a member of the Countryside Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marie M. Kurtz, of the home; a son, Dennis D. Kurtz, Costa Mesa, CA.; a daughter, Donna S. Nugent, Overland Park; a brother, Maurice Kurtz, Kennewick, WA.; two sisters, Helen Hatch, Mound City, MO; and Esther Lundsford, St. Joseph. Three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens Cemetary, Overland Park, KS.

Amos E. Kurtz, 80, Overland park, Kans., died March 26, 1990 at this home. He was born in St. Joseph. After graduating from New Point High School in 1928, he moved to Kansas City. Mr. Kurtz worked for the John Deere Co. for 45 years, retiring as a senior clerk in 1974.
He was a member of the Country Side Christian Church, Overland Park.
Survivors include his wife, Marie M. Kurtz, of the home; a son, Dennis D. Kurtz, Costa Mesa, Calif.; a daughter, Donna S. Nugent, Overland park; a brother, C. Maurice Kurtz, Kennewick, Wash.; two sisters, Helen Hatch, Mound City and Esther Lunsford, St. Joseph; three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held at D.W. Newcomers & Sons Chapel, Overland Park, March 28, 1990. Interment was in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Jim Nugent, Charles Wm. Kurtz, Gerald Lunsford, Dennis Kurtz, Gene Oakes and Don Thellman.
