Samuel (Woody) Woodard, 77, of Biloxi, died Monday, December 19, 2005 in Perkinston, MS. Mr. Woodard has been a resident of the Gulf Coast for the last 2 1/2 years. He was a retired MSGT. for the U.S. Air Force. He attended Fernwood Baptist Church and also retired from the Biloxi VA in the medical supply for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Nora Woodard, a brother and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife; Mary Frances Creel Woodard of Biloxi and his children; Dawn Plaesance, of St. Gabriel, LA, Gunnar Woodard of Jackson, MS, and Laird Woodard also of Jackson, a grandson; Whitney Plaesance, three beloved nephews; David Paul, Steve Hasty and Tyrus Woodard, and a beloved niece; Doris Ann Hamm.

Graveside service will be held Thursday, December 22, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery, burial will follow with full military honors. Gulf Coast Funeral Homes, Inc. in charge of arrangements.
