Stephen Ray Townzen died suddenly in Sacramento, Calif., on Oct. 2, 2009. Stephen was born on Dec. 25, 1953, to Harold and Esther (Martin) Townzen in Placerville, Calif. He lived in Placerville all of his life and attended Placerville schools. He was a talented musician and very creative and artistic.
Stephen was preceded in death by his mother, Esther, and brothers, David Townzen, and Kevin Townzen. He is survived by his father, Harold Townzen of Virginia; and sons, Josh Townzen of Camino, Calif., and Michael Townzen of Placerville, Calif. He is also survived by his brother, Wayne Townzen of Placerville; his sisters, Sylvia Liens of Alexandra, Va., Carol Russell of Placerville, Calif., Janice Small of Campbell, Calif., and Diana Carey of Fresno, Calif.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at the Union Cemetery on Bee Street in Placerville, Calif.
