Martha "Marty" Elizabeth Self Gore, 87, of Ashville, North Carolina, formerly of Morrow, Georgia, passed away February 28, 2011, at the John F. Keever Solace Center after a period of declining health.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; sister, Doris Franklin, and her three brothers, Jim, Jack, and Curtis Self.

Survivors include two sons, Edward Gore, Jr., and wife Fran, and John Gore, and his partner, David Baird; three granddaughters, Melinda Gore, Marianne Gore and Emily Gore Lynch, and husband, Mike; one grandson, Britt Crane, and wife, Kim; two great-grandsons, Stephen Johnson, and Matty Lynch; twin great-granddaughters, Cameron and Blakely Crane, along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many cherished friends.

Graveside service held March 12, at the Fairview Memorial Gardens, Stockbridge, Georgia. Horis A. Ward Fairview Chapel, Stockbridge in charge of arrangements.
