Herbert Michael Cremean was an Australian politician, and a member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly. He was the Australian Labor Party MLA for Dandenong [1929 - 1932] and then, following a by-election in August 1934, MLA for Clifton Hill [1934 - 1945, his death].
He married Alice Nora Mosley at St James's Catholic Church, Richmond on 6 September 1924.
They had one child, daughter Margaret.
He was Chief Secretary and Deputy Premier of Victoria in the four day Cain Government in September 1943.
He was the son of Timothy Cremean, carpenter and Hannah Cecelia Cremean nee O'Connell. The O'Connell family had been very active in local government Labor politics in Richmond.
Following an operation on a colonic fistula, he died of peritonitis at a Fitzroy private hospital.
His brother John Lawrence Cremean won the by-election caused by his death, and was Member for Clifton Hill [1 July 1945 - 1 October 1949].
