Graveside services for Hattie Mae Adams, 84, of Huntington will be held Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. in the Houston National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Carroway Funeral Home in Lufkin.

Mrs. Adams was born October 25, 1926 in Trinity County, Texas to the late Hallie (Bruce) and Newt Roberts, and died Wednesday, March 3, 2011 in a local hospital. A former resident of Channelview, she had resided in Huntington for 12 years. Mrs. Adams was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband, Frank Adams of Huntington; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Ernest Danley of Channelview and Cheryl and Tony Parker of Deer Park; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Shirley Adams of Channelview; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her son, John E. Adams; seven brothers; and two sisters.
